Word is spreading about the 2013 Alternative Break Project at TC Howe High School. Throughout the day, students, faculty, and staff came into the resource rooms asking about what we are creating. Students asked why we are here, which continues to motivates Brothers to accomplish our goal of encouraging the students to go to college. Numerous students have expressed interest in utilizing the room to learn more about universities and a few have even started conversations with Brothers expressing their interests in going to college.
Brothers continue to show true dedication to our project by building furniture, adding inspiration to the classroom walls, and adding resources that can be used by students. The resource rooms will continue coming to life tomorrow as Brothers add inspiration to the walls, begin decorating the rooms with college swag, and add college information and books that will be available to all of the Hornets at TC Howe High School.
After completion of the project, we look forward to unveiling the resource rooms to the students and faculty. We will be spending our last day at TC Howe High School in the classrooms to continue to encourage these students to strive for college.
