National Sunscreen Protection Day

Open the pools, summer is on its way!

While you are busy breaking out your shorts and t-shirts remember to also pick up some extra sunscreen.

Today, May 27th, is National Sunscreen Protection Day. Just a friendly reminder to keep yourself protected from harmful UV rays from the sun.

National (1)Overexposure to the sun can cause a number of health problems, including skin cancer and sunspots.

Tip 2When you are at the grocery store next remember to pick up a SPF 15 or higher and slather it on for all outdoor activities, even when it is cloudy.

Tip 3According to skincancer.org, “One blistering sunburn in childhood or adolescence more than doubles a person’s chances of developing melanoma later in life.”
