National Sunscreen Protection Day
Open the pools, summer is on its way!
While you are busy breaking out your shorts and t-shirts remember to also pick up some extra sunscreen.
Today, May 27th, is National Sunscreen Protection Day. Just a friendly reminder to keep yourself protected from harmful UV rays from the sun.
Overexposure to the sun can cause a number of health problems, including skin cancer and sunspots.
When you are at the grocery store next remember to pick up a SPF 15 or higher and slather it on for all outdoor activities, even when it is cloudy.
According to skincancer.org, “One blistering sunburn in childhood or adolescence more than doubles a person’s chances of developing melanoma later in life.”
