Chapter Spotlight: Epsilon Lambda Chapter Fundraising

The Epsilon Lambda Chapter at Minnesota State University- Mankato might be one of the smallest Chapters of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity (standing strong at 16 Members), however, the Chapter’s fundraising ideas are BIG.

Starting the year in the red, the Chapter’s Treasurer/Fundraising Chair, Kate Froehlich (Epsilon Lambda Chapter ’15), knew she had to start planning… and fast.

Kate planned the following fundraisers for the Fall: Epsilon Lambda Fundraising Ideas | Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity

  • Toppers Pizza Fundraiser
  • Jake’s Pizza Fundraiser
  • Thirty-One Gifts Fundraiser
  • Yankee Candle Fundraiser
  • “Fly Sigma Pi” T-Shirt Fundraiser
  • “Our Brothers Are Worth Melting For” Fundraiser

“Our most successful event always is a Yankee Candle Fundraiser. With their contribution of 40% of profits in tandem with being able to include almost anyone on social networks, friends, family, whether near or far, Yankee Candle is a great fundraiser. They offer a high return  in sales rate, while allowing online and catalog orders.  Taking away high sales tax and shipping costs, our profit for this fundraiser was $242.40. This is a fundraiser our Chapter has done consistently through previous semesters and we will always recommend this fundraiser to other chapters, while continuing to implement it ourselves each semester.” Kate Froehlich (Epsilon Lambda Chapter ’15)

Kate spent her winter break brainstorming and planning new ideas, which included:

  • Tupperware
  • Pieology
  • Chipotle
  • Busters Grill
