This Saturday, March 14th is known as Pi Day. You know, 3.14159265359. What better way to celebrate than with Phi Sigma Pi Brothers? That is what the Gamma Tau Chapter did last year.

The Chapter Scholarship Chair planned an event for 20 Brothers and 6 Initiates. It included pies, pizza, cake and soda!

Of course, scholarship was also involved. The Gamma Tau Chapter Scholarship Chair made a presentation about Pi (3.14) and also found several educational videos for the Chapter to watch for the event.

  1. 60 Minutes segment about a savant who has memorized over 20,000 digits of pi.
  2. Man who tried to calculate pi with…pies.

“The presentation featured key facts about the number Pi as well as the pastry. Following a short, fun, quiz about pi and pie, four videos were shown.” Liv Jacobson (Gamma Tau Chapter ’16)
