#PSP100: Take a Look Back

100 Years!

The year long Phi Sigma Pi Centennial celebration is right around the corner (it starts at the 2015 National Convention in Washington, D.C. from August 5-9, 2015). We have a lot planned for you as we take a look back at the past 100 years since our great organizations founding.

PSP History… just a click away!

In February, Members of the National Staff drove our precious history (magazines, newsletters, etc.) to NPC, Inc. in Claysburg, Pennsylvania to be scanned and archived. The company took over 150 pieces of our history and scanned it using a v-shaped holding frame (<–check it out there). This allowed for scanning the publications without putting any extra stress on the bindings.

So what does all of this mean?

Well, Phi Sigma Pi history will soon just be a mouse click away, making that #psptbt post a lot easier to get ready every week! For all of you history nerds it will give you an extra hobby for the year.

What your Chapter can do with it:

We’ll let you know when the Phi Sigma Pi archive library is ready. In the meantime, start brainstorming ways your Chapter can use the past newsletters, magazines, etc. in your Chapter events. It’s not everyday your organization turns 100 (we know… that’s why we are celebrating for an entire year!).

Sneak Peek

We wouldn’t write you this whole post without giving you at least a sneak peek, right? Right! Here you go, check out two pieces of Phi Sigma Pi history below by clicking on the cover or caption!
