National Convention Preview: Council is most excited for…

PNG_simple_national convention logo - CopyThe 2015 National Convention will be taking place from August 5-9, 2015 at the Regency Hyatt, Crystal City near Washington, D.C. You can register here. National Convention is open to all Brothers. The registration deadline is June 15, 2015.

Your National Council will all be at National Convention! They’ll be giving updates on different initiatives and progress, running Grand Chapter, talking with Brothers, handing out awards and much, much more. We asked them what they’re most excited for at #pspnc15!

National President – Matthew Nicoletta (Beta Kappa Chapter ‘03)

My favorite thing about National Convention is having so many Brothers all in one place, working together and sharing Fellowship. I am always excited for our Grand Chapter Conference, where we come together to consider new ideas and make decisions that affect the future of Phi Sigma Pi. I am always humbled by the passion our Brothers have for our Fraternity and their commitment to making Phi Sigma Pi even better than it is already. I look forward to seeing old acquaintances and connecting with new people.

erik_walschburgerSenior Vice President – Erik “Duff” Walschburger (Alpha Lambda Chapter ‘05)

I am excited about the upcoming National Convention because I can’t wait to see my Brothers from all across the country. I’ll also get the opportunity to meet new Brothers (who were recently Inducted and/or are attending a National event for the first time). I’m also excited to see and hear the passion Brothers have for Phi Sigma Pi and how they plan to build on that passion once they return to their Chapters.

I’m most looking forward to recognizing our Chapters’ accomplishments at the Annual Awards Banquet. It’s so awesome to hear about the hard work that Chapters put in throughout the year and it’s so rewarding to be able to recognize achievements on a national level.

I am excited to make new friends and visit with old friends this year in DC. Convention is such an awesome opportunity to connect with Brothers from around the Country — to share ideas and experiences that will help our Brotherhood become even stronger in the years ahead.  I’m also excited to have a robust discussion regarding the future direction of our National Philanthropy.

christopher_mccoyVice President of Membership Development – Christopher McCoy (Gamma Beta Chapter ‘07)

I’m excited to have Brothers from all across the country in one place at the same time. I love hearing Brothers’ ideas for how we can make Phi Sigma Pi the best it can be. So talk to us (Council)-whether it is just saying, “Hi” while in the elevator or over a breakfast run for bacon!

brian_buntonVice President of Chapter Development – Brian Bunton (Beta Kappa Chapter ‘00)

I’m looking forward to doing the business of the Fraternity, learning more about myself and reconnecting with old friends while meeting new ones. There’s nothing quite like National Convention!

ryan_alexanderVice President of Alumni Development – Ryan Alexander (Epsilon Xi Chapter ‘10)

I’m looking forward to talking with Alumni and future Alumni about how to make Phi Sigma Pi prevalent in their post-collegiate years.

patrick_herronVice President of Philanthropy Development – Patrick Herron (Alpha Epsilon Chapter ‘96)

I’m very excited to be leading our Brotherhood as we move forward with establishing a new National Philanthropy! For the past year, Collegiate and Alumni Brothers have been working together to research philanthropic partners aligned with Phi Sigma Pi’s Tripod of scholarship, leadership and fellowship.
