Celebrating National Volunteer Week 2016: Regional Conference Advisor Spotlight

In honor of National Volunteer week, we’re celebrating the service of Alumni Members who are making an impact on the Brotherhood. Each day, an Alumni Member will share details about their current involvement with the Fraternity and shed light on how to stay involved after graduation.

Carla Lopez (Alpha Phi Chapter ‘15), shares her involvement serving as the 2016 Regional Conference Advisor for the Great Lakes Regional Conference.

What was the most rewarding part of being a Regional Conference Advisor?
Having a chance to meet new Brothers and see the final Great Lakes Regional Conference results all together.

Tips on staying involved with PSP after graduation?
I knew my first year after graduation was going to be hard with a new job and location. That’s when I decided to be the Regional Conference Advisor. I definitely advise each Member to go through this amazing opportunity. Definitely make sure to keep in contact with your Brothers and support as much as you can.

What is  your favorite Phi Sigma Pi memory?
My first National Convention in Atlanta. I met so many new Members and still keep in contact with a few.

Why do you love Phi Sigma Pi?
I love the diversity and Brotherly love everyone brings. We are all one big family!
