Meet Our Newest Chapters- Eta Epsilon

Phi Sigma Pi welcomed three new Chapters into Team Eta this spring. Over the next few weeks we want to help you get to know the newest members of the Phi Sigma Pi family. First up, the Eta Epsilon Chapter at Frostburg State University.

The Eta Epsilon Chapter was Inducted on April 19th, 2016. From there, the group has worked diligently to establish a strong Chapter foundation and presence on campus. They never missed an opportunity to promote Phi Sigma Pi on campus or give back to the local community. We asked them to share a little of their experience. Check out a few of the highlights from their journey below.

What was your favorite memory from this semester?
Our favorite memory from this semester was definitely getting Inducted. It was such an amazing feeling to see all of our hard work finally pay off and to finally be able to call ourselves Members of Phi Sigma Pi.

What is Chapter looking forward to accomplishing next semester?
We are really excited about the recruitment process for next year. We’re hoping to get at least 15 new members and continue to grow as a Chapter.

What three words would you use to describe Eta Epsilon?

  1. Determined
  2. Open-minded
  3. Family

What does Phi Sigma Pi add to Frostburg’s campus?
Phi Sigma Pi is unlike any other organization on campus.  We feel as though we are a mix of all the social, professional and honor fraternities. There was previously only one other honors fraternity on campus and they were extremely excited to hear that we would be colonizing this year. We’re hoping to become a standout organization on campus that everyone can relate to and help bring all of Greek Life together.

What would you say to someone thinking about becoming a Founding Member?
We 100% recommend it. The experience of founding an organization is unlike any other experience we’ve had in Greek Life. It was really cool making all of the bylaws and setting down the foundation for future members. By being a founding member you create a bond that can never be broken and we would like to thank Phi Sigma Pi for giving us a chance to be a part of such an amazing brotherhood.
