2016 National Convention Highlight: Getting to the Hotel

Can you believe it? We are only 14 days away from the 2016 National Convention. 14 DAYS! Now that we’re so close, it’s time to really start planning out how you will be getting from the Kansas City International Airport to the hotel.

2016 National Convention Highlight- Getting to hotel

You have a couple of options when it comes to getting to the hotel. It is up to you to decide which one is best for you and your travel buddies.

  • Uber– Uber is a smartphone app that connects you with a safe, reliable ride at the press of a button. You can sign up at uber.com/go/PHISIGPIKC or enter promo code PHISIGPIKC into your app. The promo is valid for new users for one free ride up to $20!
  • SuperShuttle– Can be requested by calling 800-243-6383 or 816-243-5000. There are also offices and kiosks near bag claims. The fee is $18 one way.
  • The Metro– This bus service operates to and from KCI every day of the week. The regular fare one-way to or from KCI is $1.50. However, it looks like the nearest Metro Bus Service bus station is about 1.7 miles away from the hotel. Note: fareboxes accept exact change only!
  • Taxi– The Estimated taxi fare is $50 one way. Courtesy phones for taxi service are located inside and outside the terminal at each bag claim area. If using a personal phone, call 816-243-2345.

Near the hotel, there is also a Greyhound bus station (1.4 miles away) and Amtrak train station (1.4 miles away). If you are driving to the hotel, on-site parking is $3 hourly or $18 daily.
