Phi Sigma Pi added two new Chapters to the family this spring. Over the next two weeks you will get to learn a little more about the two newest additions, Eta Mu and Eta Lambda. Today we are introducing the Eta Mu Chapter at Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ.
The Eta Mu Chapter Founding Class was Inducted on April 29, 2017. This semester, the group of 44, worked together to get recognized on campus, establish a Chapter foundation and plan recruitment for the fall. They held a Tripod event where they collected over 50 cans to donate to a local food bank and selected the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as their local philanthropy. We asked them to share a little of their experience. Check out a few of the highlights from their journey below.
What was your favorite memory from this semester?
Meeting and connecting with so many nice people from Rowan who all have very similar ideals and goals as I do. Everyone involved in this Chapter is eagerly on the track to success, and we cannot wait to see everything that is going to be accomplished!
What is the Chapter looking forward to accomplishing next semester?
We are most excited to work with our local philanthropy — the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The Eta Mu Chapter Members are incredible, passionate, ambitious and hardworking individuals. I know we can come together and turn our visions into a reality by fundraising and giving back to this incredible cause that is very close to our campus.
What three words would you use to describe Eta Mu?
The Eta Mu Chapter is comprised of motivated, passionate and ambitious individuals who are all unique and different in many ways but at the end of day are all committed to the Phi Sigma Pi principles: Scholarship, Leadership and Fellowship.
What would you say to someone thinking about becoming a Founding Member?
Do not take this amazing opportunity for granted! Definitely take the chance to become a founding member of something great! Phi Sigma Pi will become an asset to help achieve your aspirations.
What else do you want to share with the Fraternity?
Yukon Cornealious the pug is very excited to be the founding mascot of the Eta Mu Chapter!
