Getting to Know the Eta Lambda Chapter

It was an exciting spring for Phi Sigma Pi as we added two new Chapters to the family. Last week you got to learn more about the Eta Mu Chapter at Rowan University and today we are excited to introduce the Eta Lambda Chapter at the University of the Sciences.

The Eta Lambda Chapter Founding Class was Inducted on April 30, 2017. This semester, the group of 44, worked together to get recognized on campus, establish goals for next year and began planning a local professional panel event. We asked them to share a little of their experience. Check out a few of the highlights from their journey below.

What was your favorite memory from this semester?
Our favorite memory from this semester was our Induction because we officially became part of the Phi Sigma Pi Brotherhood. It was a day that allowed us to celebrate our hard work and accomplishments as a Chapter. We are also really appreciative of all the brothers from neighboring Chapters that were able to come to witness our induction as they truly made us feel like part of the family.

What is the Chapter looking forward to accomplishing next semester?
We are looking forward to showing USciences what we have to offer through our various events focusing on the Tripod and our desire to give back to our local community. We are excited to partner in the future with a program on campus that will allow us to mentor local students.

What does Phi Sigma Pi add to USciences campus?
We are a diverse group of students encompassing several majors and years on campus. Because of this, we aim to use our diversity to promote interprofessional collaboration between students on campus to emphasize the importance of teamwork inside and outside the classroom.

What would you say to someone thinking about becoming a Founding Member?
Becoming a Founding Member is a great way to establish and leave a legacy on campus and in your community. Being a part of this tight knit family is an enjoyable way to develop relationships between your peers and make connections to other Brothers within Phi Sigma Pi. It also gives you the opportunity for professional and educational growth all while bonding with your Brothers.
