Recruitment continues even when Recruitment Week and Information Nights are over. Here are 5 tips on how to recruit all year long!
1. Wear Your PSP Pride! People do not join organizations, they join people. So, if you are having dinner together, attending an event or just hanging around campus, wear your letters. Purple and Gold are happy colors. Who wouldn’t want to join you?

2. Kindness is Contagious! Plan a Random-Act-Of-Kindness Day with your Members. Go out of your way to open doors, say hello or buy the cup of coffee for the person behind you in line. Hand that person a note, a pen or a candy bar that says, “This random act of kindness was brought to you by Phi Sigma Pi!” You can even be really proactive and put the dates of your next event on the same note. Awesome, right?
3. Have a Wish, Make A List! Do you want more people to attend your information nights? Do you want to personally invite people to attend your recruitment events? Do you want to have an awesome Spring recruitment? Make a list! Create a digital contact list with the names of all potential new members. When you meet someone that shows the slightest bit of interest in PSP, add them to the list. After, invite them to all of your recruitment, social and scholarship events. This way, your yearlong recruitment efforts will be a wish come true.
4. Pay It Forward! How many events have you attended that are being offered by another on-campus organization? Have a friend in a like-minded organization? Bring some Members to their event and ask them to return the favor. It’s a great PR opportunity, and you may just have fun!
5. K.I.S.S. Keep it Simple, Silly! Yearlong recruitment does not always require a ton of planning. Simply make it a personal mission to tell, invite or brag about the awesomeness that is PSP to those you come in contact with. Roommates, classmates, friends and relatives will start to take notice of your enthusiasm and want to be part of it.
